Furniture & VR Experience
Milan Design Week 2026
Superstudio Design / SuperNova
Two elements. One dialogue.
Gravity and Frame.
What you'll experience
What you’ll experience
Gravity and structure
do not appear as objects,
but as perception.
Between physical and virtual,
perception itself begins to shift.

Exhibition Overview
-
Geometry of Light — INDIGO Design Collection
INDIGO, the Tokyo-based design studio led by Satoshi Kan, presents an immersive exhibition during Milan Design Week 2026 at Superstudio.
The exhibition features a series of furniture pieces that transcend their physical form, exploring the relationship between material, space, and perception.
Through these works, alongside virtual reality experiences, visitors are invited to experience design from within, beyond the limits of the physical world.
The furniture pieces “Gravity Chair” and “Frame Chair” will be presented to the public for the first time.
Rooted in the concept of “Design is the geometry of consciousness,” INDIGO investigates the intersection of geometry, gravity, and awareness.
The exhibition introduces a new way of engaging with design, where furniture becomes a medium to shape perception and redefine the relationship between human consciousness and space.

Geometry of Light — Collezione Design INDIGO
Radicata nel concetto “Design is the geometry of consciousness”, INDIGO indaga l’intersezione tra geometria, gravità e consapevolezza.

Geometry of Light — INDIGO Design Collection
Satoshi Kan
Satoshi Kan, founder and designer of INDIGO, explores the relationship between form and perception.
Rooted in aesthetics, elegance, and essential values, he has deepened this expression through collaborations with various brands.
Today, with a focus on product design, he embodies a universal design language that transcends style and trends.

Gravity explores gravity as an invisible force translated into form.
Its reduced structural volume allows physical weight and perceived lightness to coexist within the same object.
The dual-tone leather, differentiated between front and back, expresses gravity’s opposing qualities—weight and lightness.
The leather finish emphasizes thickness and curvature, defining a clear interface between body and material.
Gravity is not merely a chair that supports weight, but a form that reconsiders our relationship with gravity.
-
-
FRAME is an armchair that explores structure itself as visible geometry.
Rather than concealing its construction, the frame is expressed as the primary form, allowing structure itself to define the shape.
Its reduced composition emphasizes linear structure, clarifying the relationship between body, material, and space.
The linear geometric pattern captures and reflects light, creating architectural shadows that change depending on the viewing angle.
Within this framework, the seat appears to float, as if suspended, gently releasing the body from gravity.
FRAME is not merely a chair for sitting, but a form that reconsiders how structure shapes space and perception.
-
Furniture is thus reconsidered not simply as a functional object, but as a medium that shapes perception and redefines the relationship between human consciousness and space.
