GEOMETRY OF CONSCIOUSNESS

Form shapes perception.

Structure shapes experience.

Philosophy

Design is not the creation of objects. It is the shaping of how the world is felt.

At INDIGO, we work with geometry, material, light, and spatial continuity — not as aesthetic tools, but as instruments that act directly on human awareness.

Every form carries a question: how will this be perceived? What will it leave inside the person who encounters it?

Satoshi Kan

Designer / Founder — INDIGO DESIGN

Satoshi Kan founded INDIGO to explore a single question: how does form act on consciousness?

His work has been featured in Domus and la Repubblica Design. He has presented at Milan Design Week across two consecutive years — including a hybrid physical and virtual exhibition at Superstudio Più in 2026.

Selected Exhibitions

  • Milan Design Week 2026 / Superstudio Più, Milan INDIGO: Geometry of Light — Hybrid exhibition of physical prototypes and virtual experience

  • Milan Design Week 2025 / Brera Design District, Milan INSPIRATION — Immersive VR installation

INDIGO

INDIGO is a Tokyo-based design studio founded by Satoshi Kan.

The studio develops work across furniture and product design — at the intersection of physical craftsmanship and perceptual research.

Design, for INDIGO, is a medium. One capable of shaping not just space, but the consciousness of the person within it.

What We Do

Design across furniture, products, and spatial experience — developed from concept through to final form.

Each project begins with a question about perception — how this will be experienced, and what it will leave behind.

From collectible furniture to product development, INDIGO works with clients for whom design is not decoration, but a means of shaping experience.

  • Furniture & Object Design — Objects as instruments of experience

  • Spatial Experience — The presence of space, and what it does to the body

  • Virtual Environments — Form explored beyond physical constraint

  • Immersive Installations — Environments that dissolve the boundary between observer and space
